Defiant Louise Redknapp puts her marriage woes behind her, as she goes partying with Daisy Lowe

She’s refusing to apologise for having fun

Her 19-year marriage may have reached crisis point, but Louise Redknapp isn’t letting that get her down, as she embraces her new single lifestyle.

Last week, heat told you that Louise had decided to separate from husband Jamie, 44, after finding a new lease of life following her appearance on Strictly last year. And we’re told she has no intention of giving that up any time soon. “This is obviously a tough time for Louise, but she refuses to sit about and mope,” an insider tells heat. “She’s really been enjoying herself the past six months. She loves going out.”

They add that Louise’s priority will always be her and Jamie’s two sons – Charley, 12, and eight-yearold Beau – so she was very hurt when reports came out claiming she had left them with her mum in order to go out partying. “Louise has always been a devoted mum and the split with Jamie doesn’t change that, so she was upset over the rumours,” our insider says. “Her mum has offered to help out, as any grandparent would. Lou’s certainly not abandoning the kids and can go out and have fun while still being a responsible mum.”

When news of the split broke, Louise, 42, was in Majorca with the kids. She cut the holiday short, but instead of hiding away, she met up with her Strictly co-star Daisy Lowe, whose friendship is reportedly one of the reasons behind the split. The next day, they attended the wedding of Strictly dancers Aljaž and Janette, and heat’s onlooker says Louise was having a brilliant time. “There was no way you’d think she was going through a rough time,” we’re told. “She spent most of the evening with Daisy. They were laughing and having lots of fun. Daisy’s a party girl and she’s been encouraging Lou to let her hair down. Louise knows she has responsibilities, and being a mum will always be the most important thing, but for now she just wants to enjoy a carefree summer.” n KATE RANDALL
