GIGI TELLS ZAYN: ‘We’ll be bigger than Kimye’
Their new reality show will make them the ultimate power couple
They recently graced the cover of US Vogue, and now Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik have set their sights on becoming the new Kim Kardashian and Kanye West – starting with their very own reality TV show.
We’ve been told the model and singer think they have what it takes to be a celebrity super-couple, with Gigi, 22, leading the way. Of course, she’s besties with Kim’s sister Kendall Jenner, so she knows exactly how it can be done. “Gigi and Zayn are loving collaborating together so much right now,” an insider tells heat. “They’re intending to turn themselves into a huge brand. They’ve got a number of joint projects in the pipeline, and they want to be the next Kim and Kanye. Getting the cover of Vogue was a huge moment for them, and they are looking to how Kimye have behaved over the years to follow. “As well as a fashion line together, they are also considering a reality show, which will follow their careers as they continue building on their brand as a couple. They’re very into spotting hot trends and applying it to a business model, and feel that they’re a lot stronger together.” But while the couple’s management team are encouraging the plans, close friends are worried it will put too much pressure on their relationship – especially as Zayn, 24, is not as comfortable in the spotlight.
“Both their managers are excited about the prospect and are seeing dollar signs,” explains the insider. “Celebrity couples can be incredibly lucrative, especially if they’re as popular as Kimye or Posh and Becks. But some people in their social circle are concerned. Not only will it be intense for them to work together so much, but friends are concerned about Zayn’s anxiety regarding any intrusion into his personal life. They feel they should have some work/life balance.
“But Gigi and Zayn aren’t listening to any of that and are excited about collaborating more. They feel as though they can keep control of their private life and still get to the top.”
