Last year, Britain may have voted to leave the EU, but a record 10million of us still headed to Spain for our holiday. This observational doc series was filmed during the busiest weeks of the season at a resort called Holiday World, and tonight’s first episode focuses on family vacays. We meet several families, who are all helping to consume the four tonnes of bacon, five tonnes of chips and 6,000 litres of beer that Holiday World serves up every week. If you think resort holidays are a nightmare, you’ll find little to change your mind here, as Brits get up as early as 4.15am to secure their favourite spot by the pool. We must also admit that we only learned one real secret from this episode, but really wish we hadn’t. “When someone defecates in the pool, we close it for at least three hours,” reveals pool tech Sebastian.
