Parenthood brings new headaches for Binky and JP, as she gets itchy feet and he wants to be the breadwinner

He wants to be the breadwinner, her feet are itchy

They became proud parents to daughter India two months ago, but it looks as if things are not all rosy in the world of Binky Felstead and boyfriend Josh “JP” Patterson. Our sources have told us that the couple have been arguing lately over their differing parenting styles and whether Binky should go back to work – and it’s making Binky question if they have a future together.

“Like every couple, they’ve been rowing and squabbling here and there, but some of their friends are worried that it’s down to the fact that they’re very different people at their core,” a source tells heat. “JP would happily let Binky be a stay-at-home mum while he’s the breadwinner of the family, but she won’t allow that – she loves spending time with the baby, but gets incredibly itchy feet at the idea of just being at home. She’s still got a lot of ambitions that she’d like to achieve, and would love to one day have her own talk show or do her own podcast.”

We’re told that Binky and JP – who are currently starring in their own reality show with India – are also clashing over bringing in help. “JP tends to be the adult in the relationship, and he likes everything done in what he sees as ‘the proper way’,” our source says. “Sometimes Binky can be quite chaotic, because she’s always eager to take on more projects, and she really likes being independent.”

The insider adds, “The truth is, Binky would just love to hire a couple of nannies, because she’s had so many work offers these past few weeks. She hasn’t ruled out a return to Made In Chelsea and has her own clothing line, and is launching a maternity retreat where new mums can learn about health and nutrition.”

Binky, 27, and JP dated for around 18 months but weren’t officially together when she found out she was pregnant, having split due to rows over Binky’s partying and friendships, and JP’S controlling nature. But the couple decided to give things another go, and have only recently moved in together.

“In a perfect world, she would love for their crazy differences to make them stronger, but only time will tell,” our insider says. “She’s hoping for the best, but most importantly she wants to make sure that they’re both being honest about how things are working out. They certainly didn’t plan on starting a family together, so they’re having to make the rules up as they go along. But Binky knows she can do it on her own, if she has to.” n
