MARK’S FURY over Michelle’s flirty photos
Someone’s been having a little bit too much fun…
He’s spent most of this year away from his wife, so it’s hardly surprising Mark Wright wasn’t impressed when he saw pictures everywhere of Michelle Keegan and her handsome co-star thousands of miles away. Michelle has been in South Africa for the past few months, filming the third series of Our Girl, and when pictures emerged of her appearing to get close to co-star Ben Aldridge, we’re told it sent Mark’s frustration into overdrive.
“Although he knows Michelle would never do anything, Mark can’t help but get annoyed about people commenting on her spending all this time away, and these pictures aren’t going to help that,” heat’s source explains. “He hates the rumours that fly when Michelle is away, and the fact she’s hanging out with Ben and [co-star] Luke Pasqualino and having fun is bound to wind him up. He feels a bit insecure, as they have these cool, toughguy images, while Mark is still finding it hard to break away from his ‘Essex boy’ reputation.”
Mark and Michelle’s two-year marriage has been put under pressure by their time apart, with Michelle in the midst of an eight-month shoot for Our Girl, after having spent much of last year filming the army drama’s second series. Presenter Mark’s work commitments here and in LA – plus his weekly DJ slot at a pool party in Majorca – mean he can’t get out to see her as much as he would like.
The last time the couple were pictured together was in May, when Mark flew to South Africa, but they are thought to have not seen each other since, and were even apart for Michelle’s 30th birthday in June. And it can’t help that Luke has been posting pictures on his Instagram of him and Michelle looking happy together. The cast are said to have grown close after weeks of filming in the middle of nowhere.
“Mark and Michelle try to speak to each other as much as they can over the phone and on Facetime, but it’s not easy,” our source adds. “He’s really missing Michelle at the moment, and while he’s so proud of her, it’s hard for him to see how in-demand she is and know how many other men must fancy her. She’s still got a while to go on this shoot, and as he is committed to spending every Saturday in Majorca, there won’t be any romantic reunions in the near future.”
