Mark & Michelle to renew vows before they separate

Because once is obviously not enough for them...

Renewing your vows after just two years of marriage sounds a bit OTT. But that’s exactly what Mark Wright is planning – if he can manage to convince wife Michelle Keegan to go through with it.

As heat’s told you before, Mark and Michelle are set to spend a lot of the next 12 months apart, after he landed his Hollywood break with a year-long reporting job on US TV show Extra. And Mark wants to prove to everyone that they can cope with the split.

“Mark’s desperate to renew their vows, whereas Michelle doesn’t understand the fascination,” says our source. “Their wedding had to be better than everyone else’s, and now he wants another ceremony. However, the best he may get is an informal gathering of friends and family in Dubai.”

According to our source, sentimental Mark – who will soon be working 70 hours a week for 50 weeks of the year and travelling constantly – has got the wedding bug, big time. “He’s been to engagement parties and friends’ weddings recently, and it reminds him of all the good times,” our insider explains. “He wants them to be centre of attention again, and sees it as a way of putting on a united front – a gift to each other, as they’ll spending so much time apart. He thinks a party in Dubai would be fantastic and, to top it off, they could renew their vows while they’re there.”

It’s not just the party that Mark’s interested in, either. “Ultimately, it’s really part of a plan to make Michelle settle down and make their marriage feel even more important – like a way of saying, ‘It’s time to have a family,’” our source adds. But Mark might be

waiting a while, with his wife showing huge interest… in dogs. “Michelle is more interested in having doggies than babies. They already have Phoebe and Pip, but she wants a bigger dog so they can go for longer walks. She thinks it’s the perfect way to get them adjusted to thinking about others and getting in a routine.”

And, surprisingly – despite all the miles that’ll soon separate them – Mark is going along with it. “He’s receptive to anything that will get her in the mood for babies,” we’re told. “He’s also suggested they start eating more healthily, popping vitamins and drinking less, all in the hope it makes them more fertile.” Then they just need to be in the same country...
