Why Posh approves of Chloe & Brooklyn’s reunion
Victoria’s enlisted an A-list snooper…
She’s a self-confessed helicopter parent, so it’s no surprise that Victoria Beckham is keen to keep tabs on eldest son Brooklyn as he settles into university life in the US. But while most mums might push for extra phone calls or occasional visits home, Posh has gone the extra mile in her bid to stay connected. Not only has she encouraged her son to rekindle his relationship with actress Chloë Moretz, who she believes was an excellent influence on the 18 year old, she has even enlisted Chloë to be her informant.
“Victoria always liked Chloë and her clean-living image,” an insider tells heat. “She would love to see Chloë back with Brooklyn again, she thinks that Chloë may keep him on the straight and narrow, focused on studies and away from partying. Victoria also hopes that Chloë will sometimes report back on what Brooklyn is doing, as she knows boys will be boys and she won’t always get the full story from him.”
Vic has been open about her anxiety over Brooklyn leaving home, admitting that she plans to check in on him every day during his studies at Parsons, an art and design college in New York. Last week, she congratulated her son on his A-level results with a gushing Instagram post, in which she wrote, “We are all so proud of you, Brooklyn. Amazing A-level results and off to college. We love you so much and will miss you. #yesiamcrying #emotional.” She accompanied it with a cosy snap of herself practically sitting on Brooklyn. Cute, eh? Nothing says pride like a mother who keeps tabs on your love life and makes you share your chair with her. n
