Kim’s fury over Taylor’s robbery jibe

It is quite the achievement to offend everyone you’ve ever met in the space of four minutes,15 seconds – but Taylor Swift is nothing if not efficient. Last week, the singer released her music video for new single Look What You Made Me Do, and no one – not Katy Perry, not Calvin Harris, not Tom Hiddleston – escaped unscathed. But for one of the A-list victims of Taylor’s new scorched-earth policy, the video went way too far – and she’s not going to take it lying down.
“Kim Kardashian is furious and considering legal action,” said heat’s insider, after the video debuted at the VMAS. It showed Taylor, 27, bathing in jewels as she sang, “I don’t like your perfect crime, how you laugh when you lie.” The video seems to be referring to the Paris robbery in which Kim was forced to sit in a bath at gunpoint, while thieves stole £8.5million worth of her jewellery, with many believing Taylor’s suggesting that the crime was actually masterminded by Kim’s camp. This isn’t the first time that the star’s had to endure such claims. Following the ordeal, which saw Kim take a monthlong retreat from public life, she sued a website for suggesting that the heist could have been an inside job.
The source adds, “Kim is seriously pissed off, and wants to cut Taylor down to size. She’s already reached out to Katy [Perry] and anyone else she can think of to gather as much dirt on Taylor as possible. She wants to show the world how toxic and unpleasant she believes Taylor to be.”
The feud dates back to 2009, when the reality star’s husband, Kanye West, stormed the stage at the VMAS to claim Taylor didn’t deserve her award. The pair made peace, until last year, when Kanye released his song Famous, in which he called Taylor a “bitch” and took credit for her success. When Taylor publicly protested, Kim, 36, released audio from a phone call where the singer appeared to approve the lyrics.
Insiders say this latest development marks a new low in the relationship. “This nastiness came from nowhere, and Kim’s been totally knocked sideways. She’s very sensitive about what happened in Paris – it was such a horrible experience, and the hateful messages from Taylor’s fans have freaked her out. Kim’s talking to lawyers and going over all her options right now, and if there are grounds to sue Taylor, she will.” n
