A “row” is when you plank with weights, as demon­strated here, and then pull al­ter­nate dumb­bells into your chest. “We work our tri­ceps more in ev­ery­day life, say by push­ing doors open, but our bi­ceps get some­what ne­glected, since we don’t pull things as much,” says Pamela. “A plank row works these ‘pull’ arm mus­cles nicely.” Pam sug­gests tak­ing a slightly dif­fer­ent po­si­tion to Kourt, with your arms fur­ther back, as “you will be able to row your arms more ef­fec­tively”.
