Russell Howard’s Good News ran on BBC3 from 2009 to 2013, and then nimbly dodged that channel’s internet-only move by jumping to BBC2 for a couple of years. Now, he defects to Sky for what amounts to a rebadged relaunch, with this 14-episode run. Once again, it’s a news-led comedy affair, in which Russell picks through the biggest stories from around the world, then offers his sage thoughts with help from leading experts in the field. He’ll also usher in celebrity guests and introduce a few stand-up spots, making for a good entertainment all-rounder.
