Who Jodie Whittaker dazzles as a hard-working, idealistic nurse who loses her job for whistleblowing and, in desperation, steals her best mate’s identity and gets a job in Edinburgh as a doctor. When she falls for an experienced actual doctor, it all gets very complicated as her scheme threatens to get way out of hand. Writer Dan Sefton maintains the tension superbly, and it always stays within the bounds of what could actually happen. Sefton’s new medical comedy is previewed on page 89.
