He’s back: the blood-phobic Cornish GP who looks exactly like Martin Clunes. Last series, the Doc and wife Louisa faced the challenge of saving their marriage. This time, the question is whether they can live together happily with their baby, James Henry. All the supporting characters return, including Aunt Ruth (Eileen Atkins), PC Joe Penhale (John Marquez), Bert Large (Ian Mcneice) and his son Al (Joe Absolom), who is dating the Doc’s receptionist Morwenna (Jessica Ransom). Art Malik guests this series, as a visitor who surprises Ruth with info about someone from her past.
