She’s forgiven him before, but she may have run out of patience this time…
After being publicly humiliated by her footballer husband Wayne yet again, Coleen Rooney would be well within her rights to end her eight-year marriage. And heat has been told that, fed up of his behaviour, the pregnant mum-ofthree is not taking things lying down this time. Following claims that Wayne drunkenly kissed and flirted with 29-year-old Laura Simpson during a night out, before getting arrested as he drove her car home, Coleen and the couple’s three sons, Kai, seven, Klay, four, and 20-month-old Kit (who were all on holiday at the time) have moved in with her parents while she decides if it’s all over. What’s more, Coleen has been pictured without her wedding ring.
“Coleen can’t believe Wayne would do this again – especially as she’s pregnant,” an insider tells
heat. “She is absolutely furious – and she wants him to know it. Coleen’s under so much stress right now. She can’t be at home.”
The source adds, “She really thought Wayne had changed since having the children, but it’s like he can’t grow up and take responsibility. She’s determined to keep Wayne on his toes and he has no idea what she’ll do.”
Thanks to his lucrative football career, former England captain Wayne is said to be worth around £100million and, if Coleen decided to divorce him, she could be entitled to at least half – plus maintenance payments to keep her and the children in the lifestyle they’ve become accustomed to.
And while Wayne, 31, has misbehaved behind Coleen’s back in the past – visiting prostitutes when he was just 16 and also reportedly when she was pregnant with Kai in 2009 – Coleen sees it differently this time. Despite him not actually sleeping with the girl, Laura claims they would have done, and Coleen can’t believe he was stupid enough to put himself in this position.
“When it happened the first time, they were very young and hadn’t even slept together,” our source says. “And the other time was before they had become a family. This is not something she is going to get over easily and she won’t be as forgiving as she has been in the past. The trust is gone again and she feels as if she’s a laughing stock. She’s had enough of his behaviour and has told him he’s got to change – he’s pushed it too far this time.”
Coleen has reportedly demanded that Wayne tell her if there are any other women or stories to come out before she makes her final decision. Our source adds, “She’s been saying to him, ‘How many other times have you done this?’ She’s worried Wayne could have been going somewhere for sex with this girl – why else would he be driving her car?”
However, our insider says that, while it’s looking likely Coleen, 31, will give Wayne one more chance for the sake of the children, it doesn’t mean he’s off the hook. “Her being pregnant is obviously a factor in this and she’ll always put the baby and the kids first,” we’re told. “Wayne is the only man Coleen’s been with – he’s all she knows. She wants the boys to be brought up in a happy family home like she was. Wayne is begging her for forgiveness, but she doesn’t know what to do. She says she’s not making any excuses for Wayne and she may be able to forgive him eventually, but it’ll be hard for her to forget.
