her 64-year-old mum Amy’s diagnosis with terminal lung disease, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. At the start of the chat, co-star Andrea Mclean said to Katie, “Just a week ago, you were sitting here telling us how your marriage to Kieran was over, after he admitted to having an affair…” Katie then responded, “And I had a miscarriage four days before. On the Monday, I had a miscarriage and then, four days later, I found out [about Kieran] and now this one,” before pointing at Amy. The TV star had previously revealed that she’d suffered a miscarriage in 2009, just weeks before first husband Peter Andre ended their marriage.
Mum-of-five Katie hasn’t left the headlines in recent weeks, following her bout of revelations. Kieran also gave an interview in a national newspaper – a week after Katie’s – admitting he had slept with the family’s nanny, Nikki Brown, over a six-month period (half the time Katie had initially claimed). He put it down to his sex addiction, which he was diagnosed with three years ago, after his infamous affairs with two of Katie’s friends. But Nikki has disputed the claims, and has accused Katie and Kieran of dragging her name through the mud in the hope of cashing in.
Our insider tells us, “So far, Katie and Kieran have made nearly £100,000 from telling their stories. Now Katie’s touring the country slagging Nikki off as well.” Ah yes, the tour – another headscratcher. Katie kicked off her highly publicised “An Audience with Katie Price” tour in Preston two weeks ago. But a week later, she cancelled her appearance in Brighton due to “unforeseen family circumstances”. As it happens, heat had tickets to this particular show, and we were surprised to receive a phone call from the Theatre Royal, telling us it had been rescheduled for November. Would a 952-seat venue really have been able to call every single ticket-holder if, as Katie has argued, the show was a sellout?
Unanswered questions still persist, and as heat reported last week, the couple are facing accusations that their split could be fake. Especially since Katie is allowing Kieran to continue living at her home. According to our source, “She needs his help with the kids, and it’s also become a game for her now. She never really forgave him the first time, and she won’t allow him to just walk away now.”
The insider adds, “The funny thing is, even though Kieran is sleeping in the junk room, on a futon he had to borrow from a mate, he’s actually happier than he’s been in ages. She can’t boss him about all the time – it’s actually a relief.”
