They’ve been quietly dating for nearly a year and last week, Jennifer Lawrence and boyfriend Darren Aronofsky finally made their red-carpet debut together at the Venice Film Festival at the premiere of their film Mother!. The couple then made their way to the London premiere, where J-law, 27, rocked it in a silver Atelier Versace cobweb gown (Halloween inspo, anyone?).
So, no wonder Darren couldn’t help gushing over his girlfriend when she arrived on the red carpet. The 48-year-old director interrupted an interview with reporters saying, “Can we just stop for one second?” He then pulled out his phone and started filming her saying, “Look at her, look at me.” He later described Jennifer as “a platinum goddess”.
The pair met on the set of the psychological thriller, which also stars Michelle Pfeiffer and Javier Bardem. Talking recently about their romance, Jennifer – who was in an on/off relationship with Coldplay’s Chris Martin before meeting Darren – revealed, “We had energy. I had energy for him. I don’t know how he felt about me. I’ve been in relationships before where I’m just confused, and I’m never confused with him.”
