Friends tell diet obsessed Kim: Bore OFF!
Because who wants to hear about calorie counting all day?
Kim Kardashian has been looking good in recent months, and the star is clearly proud of her shrinking figure if a recent naked tree-climbing photo shoot (Google it) is any indication. But according to insiders, Kim’s obsession with her body has taken over her life, and it’s causing grief between her and the people around her.
“She’s completely obsessive about what she eats and drinks,” a source close to Kim tells heat. “Nobody can get two words out of her that don’t revolve around her fitness regime, surgery she’s had, or what she’s avoided calorie-wise. She can also be extremely bad-tempered and finds it difficult to focus on things. Nobody wants to be around her right now.”
The reality star’s body hang-ups have been well-documented, and over the years we’ve seen her resorting to extreme diets, workouts and cosmetic procedures to achieve the perfect physique. But according to our insider, Kim’s never been as single-minded as she is now. “Kim used to plan her workouts around her kids’ schedules,” the source says. “She loved being there when they first woke up and always had breakfast with North. But now she doesn’t see them until after breakfast, because she doesn’t want to be tempted to eat cereal. She’s been living on less than 500 calories a day. There are even days she’ll have nothing but lemon water with maple syrup. She says she’s fasting for her health, but it seems to be more about losing weight.”
As we’ve previously reported, Kim wants to look her best for when her and Kanye’s baby arrives via surrogate in January (see page 51 for more on this). But it’s also because she wants them to do a nude photo shoot together (yes, really) – something Kanye isn’t too sure about. “Kim’s been bugging Kanye about this for months,” the insider says. “It’s become a huge issue, because he won’t just give in. He feels no one in the hip-hop world will respect him if he does a nude shoot with Kim. The poor guy is in a tough place, because Kim’s refusing to back down about it.”
