Child welfare officials could step in any time
They’ve been embroiled in a long-running mess of nasty accusations and lawsuits since they split earlier this year, but Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna have finally settled their custody battle over ten-month-old daughter Dream. Rob will have her for just over 50 per cent of the time, but will also have to pay Chyna $20,000 a month in child support. In return, Chyna has dropped her abuse allegations against him. And while Rob’s family are relieved, they worry that if he and Chyna don’t improve their behaviour, they could still lose Dream.
“Rob’s family, especially Kris, have been fundamental in getting this all sorted,” heat’s insider says. “They were furious about how Rob and Chyna were behaving and hope they’ve both now realised how bad it’s been for Dream. They think they have both been irresponsible, and are worried that social services could step in if they have concerns about their parenting abilities.”
Last week, it was claimed Chyna was being investigated by child welfare officials due to her alleged drug use – with sources speculating Rob could be behind the leak – so Kris had to step in to do some damage control.
“Kris had to leak a story denying that Chyna was being investigated, as she thought it could harm Rob’s chances of getting Dream,” our source says. “She knew Chyna would hold it against him in the custody case. Every time Rob does something to stir the situation, Kris has to bail him out of it, but it can’t go on much longer. And it’s poor Dream who’s still at the centre of this mess.” n
