‘I’ll take you to the cleaners’
Katie Price’s husband has had enough…
We all know Katie Price can be a bit, er, vengeful at times. And her tweets last week, boasting about joining a dating app, prove she’s all-in when it comes to punishing her cheating husband, Kieran Hayler. But insiders tell heat that Kieran isn’t about to take any more of this lying down. In fact, friends say that if Katie, 39, doesn’t stop the public humiliation, the 30 year old is ready to walk for good – and he’ll take her to the cleaners as he goes.
“Katie thinks that the prenuptial contract means Kieran can’t get any of her assets or money, but it seems Kieran thinks that’s not necessarily the case,” says an insider close to the pair, whose four-year marriage has been plagued by affairs with Katie’s friends and – most recently (and allegedly) – their nanny. “Kieran says he could be entitled to half of anything she’s made since they’ve been together. He can argue that he’s been the one looking after the children, while Katie’s earning money. He could also say that he’s accustomed to a certain lifestyle for him and his kids. Katie could be looking at a much bigger payout than she thinks. She’s had to give a lot of money to exes she misjudged in the past – and they didn’t involve children.”
Last week, Katie – who has Jett and Bunny with Kieran, as well as Harvey, Junior and Princess from previous relationships – confessed to feeling close to “some kind of breakdown”, adding, “My husband should be the one comforting me, but he’s f**ked me over.” Insiders say another messy divorce is looking increasingly likely.
“Kieran has actually felt quite liberated in recent weeks,” says the source. “Katie hasn’t got the same hold over him anymore. Their life together was like a prison at times, and , with all the CCTV, he felt like there were cameras watching his every move, everywhere he went. If, by some miracle, they do stay together, he wants equal footing.
“For now, though, he wants the split to be as simple as possible for the sake of the children. But if Katie digs her heels in or tries to buy him off cheaply, she’ll see a different side to Kieran.”
