‘Sexy Skype calls will keep our marriage alive’

Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan have turned to technology

There’s nothing like a longdistance relationship to make you get creative with romance. And as Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright are oceans apart yet again – working for months on end in different countries – they’re doing just that. The TV pair have come up with a plan to keep their relationship fresh and exciting – and it involves a lot of sexy time on Skype.

“Michelle’s been worried about the strain their schedules will have on them,” says heat’s insider close to the star, who spent the summer in South Africa filming Our Girl, and is now shooting in Malaysia with the cast (and going trekking in their downtime). Meanwhile, Mark flew out to LA earlier this month to start his new job as a presenter on US entertainment show, Extra. “Michelle’s been suffering quite a lot lately with the reality of it all,” we’re told. “She was trying to come up with a solution, so she told Mark that they need ‘intimate communication time’.” And, if you’re wondering – yes, that is a euphemism.

The source continues, “They’re planning to talk much more, and have arranged late-night sexy Skype calls every evening. It’ll keep things fresh and help the spark in their marriage stay alive. Michelle also thinks that having an intimate call planned will mean Mark is less likely to go out to clubs with his mates, where he could get into trouble.”

While Mark, 30, no doubt misses his wife, he’s been throwing himself into the LA lifestyle – even having elocution lessons to tone down his Essex tones, admitting, “It’s just to neutralise my accent. I speak quite regional.” Let’s hope Michelle can still understand him when she sees him…

And when the pair, who married in 2015 after three years together, are finally back in the same country, friends say the priority will be starting a family. “Michelle is keen to try for a baby as soon as possible,” says the source. “Mark’s been broody for ages, so Michelle says that once they both finish this round of crazy schedules, they should start trying.”

All those raunchy Skype calls should get them in the mood...
