Cheryl and Liam Payne are planning their big reveal – possibly with a Vogue shoot
Are we about to get the full lowdown on Chiam and Bear?
ver since Cheryl and Liam Payne shocked us all by getting together nearly two years ago, we’ve been desperate to know every single tiny detail about their life as Chiam. But, apart from Liam’s inability to keep his mouth shut during red-carpet and TV appearances, they’ve remained annoyingly coy – only allowing us little glimpses into their world with six-month-old son Bear.
Excitingly, that could all be about to change as speculation is rife they’re set to reveal all in an interview with UK Vogue magazine – after Liam was pictured hanging out with the iconic glossy’s new editor, Edward Enninful. After attending a London Fashion Week event, the former One Direction star posted a picture with Edward on Instagram, writing, “Great to meet @edward_enninful. All the best as new Editor-in-chief @Britishvogue.”
His post sent the rumour mill into overdrive, with many predicting he and Chezza will cement their status as a power couple by doing a joint cover and interview with the prestigious publication.
Cheryl has appeared on the cover twice before, in 2009 and 2010, and we’re told that both she and Liam are huge Vogue fans. “It’s a magazine they both love and respect, and getting a cover is always an honour – only top A-listers get them,” an insider tells heat. “Nothing has been decided yet, but they have had offers coming in from absolutely everywhere since they got together, especially since the arrival of Bear. They’ve turned down so much – it has to be the right thing for them.”
The couple have been very careful to protect their son’s privacy and have, so far, only released a couple of pictures of him, taking care not to show his face. However, with Vogue’s reputation of working with the best photographers, designers and stylists, the couple would be assured of an artistic and beautiful shoot, where they could have full control of the final pictures. If they did involve Bear, he could be photographed in a way that wouldn’t reveal his face, as the couple do when they put pics of him on social media. Although, who wouldn’t secretly be hoping for Bear in all his (no doubt) adorable glory?
And they wouldn’t be the first A-listers to appear in Vogue with their child. When Kim Kardashian and Kanye West opened up about their relationship in the American edition in 2014, daughter North took centre stage in the shoot and it produced the first official pictures of them as a family.
Other power couples to bag themselves a Vogue cover include
David and Victoria Beckham, Richard Gere and Cindy Crawford and, most recently, Liam’s old bandmate Zayn Malik and his girlfriend Gigi Hadid. So, if Chiam want to take their showbiz status to the next level, this would be perfect for them.
“Vogue are notoriously picky about who they have on their cover,” says the insider. “They normally only have supermodels, but they will make an exception for big-name celebrities and couples, as they know they will bring a lot more attention and coverage, which result in better sales.”
And, as heat has told you before, Liam and Cheryl look up to the likes of the Beckhams and how they’ve managed to become so successful by using their personal lives to promote their businesses. “Both Cheryl and Liam admire David and Victoria and the way they’ve handled their fame, built up a multi-millionpound brand and have a happy home life,” our source says. “Ultimately, that’s exactly what they aspire to be.”
If the Vogue cover does happen, it will be a hat-trick for Chezza. In 2009, she did her first tell-all interview with the publication after she’d taken back first husband Ashley Cole, following allegations he had cheated. In the candid chat, she said of the situation, “It was horrendous. Look, Ashley’s young, and he’s

got a young mentality for his age, anyway. He’s learning. He has a beautiful soul, he’s a really nice guy, and I’m not stupid, you know — I’m really not. I know what I’m doing.”
And in 2010, she was back on the cover after the couple split for good, saying, “I’ve got to take everything that’s happened and learn from it. I accept that it’s a chapter of my life that’s finished. And I’ve just got to be grateful that I’ve got so many good things going on. I have. And there’s no small children, you know?”
But now she does have a baby with Liam, and while she’s devoted to being a mum, we’re told Cheryl is also planning her muchanticipated music comeback, although nothing will be out until next year. While she’s mostly been off-radar for the past year, doing Vogue would up her profile at just the right time.
“Cheryl is gearing up for her big return to the pop world,” our insider says. “She’s really excited about it and has already been busy in the studio.” There has also been talk of Chiam working on music together (which we’re praying does happen), although Liam has played down those rumours. “Sometimes those things can go a bit cheesy… We’re not going to do a Katie Price and Peter Andre,” he’s said previously.
Hmmm, it sounds as if he could still be persuaded on that one – maybe a Vogue cover shoot will change his mind?
