Chloe’s mad rush down the aisle
One problem: she has to convince her parents first
You can imagine how the conversation went, as Chloe Green told her billionaire dad she’s ready to get hitched to her one true love – a married gang associate, who’s spent his life in and out of jail. But despite Sir Philip’s objections, insiders tell heat the Topshop heiress is determined to move forward with her engagement plans to “hot felon” boyfriend of four months, Jeremy Meeks. And she’ll do whatever it takes to get her dad on board – mostly so he can pay for their wedding.
“Chloe is desperate for her dad’s approval on this, but Philip is unhappy at the idea of his daughter marrying a criminal,” says an insider close to the 26 year old, who was seen on holiday in Monaco last week, with Jeremy and her mum, Tina Green. “Chloe is sweet-talking her mum, in the hope that she’ll talk Philip round. She needs her dad’s approval, because she wants him to pay for the massive wedding, and she wants it to happen as soon as possible. She arranged the family holiday in the hope that the more time her mum spends with Jeremy, the more she’ll see he is a decent man who’s really changed his ways. But both Tina and Philip are still hoping it’s just a short-lived thing.
“They really don’t like the idea of a convicted criminal marrying into their family, especially since he’s not even divorced yet. They think it’s inappropriate to even think about marriage yet.”
Jeremy, 33, whose mug shot went viral in 2014, is still married to his ex, Melissa, and the pair have a seven-year-old son, Jeremy Jr, but sources say he’s hoping for a quickie divorce. “Jeremy has already filed for legal separation and they’re pushing it through as fast as possible,” says the insider. “Chloe has put the fear of God into her family by saying that she wouldn’t sign a prenup, that she and Jeremy are too in love to need one. Everyone thinks she’s rushing into this – they only met in June [weeks after he’d split from Melissa]. They say she hasn’t considered the reality of it, but Chloe’s way too into Jeremy to listen.
“As far as she’s concerned, he can do no wrong and they’re meant to be together.” ■
