Most celebs have barely got the sleep dust out of their eyes before midday, let alone switched on their good behaviour mode. So who better to get juicy A-list goss from than Kiss FM breakfast show presenters Melvin Odoom, Charlie Hedges and Rickie Haywood Williams.
So, which star’s had the biggest diva demands? Rickie:
Nicki Minaj had someone come in before her arrival to test the temperature. They bought an electric heater and switched it on.
Charlie: She actually licked her finger and felt the air, which I thought was just a myth. I’ve never seen anybody do that.
When Nicki showed up, she questioned why everyone was there and everyone had to justify themselves! But she’s a total professional – as soon as the mic was on, she was brilliant.
Anyone turned up mega late? C:
Rihanna, but it wasn’t her fault. When she came in, her people were trying to rush the interview, but she went, “No, give the girl the time. We’ve made her wait six hours, so she gets her interview.” She was so nice.
The first interview I ever did with Kanye, he was two hours late. It’s horrifying, because you have more time to get nervous. His music is amazing, but he’s a dick.
What’s been your biggest celebrity cock-up? R:
Melvin forgot to press record when interviewing Jamie Foxx . Melvin: He was cool about it. We told him it was a technical issue!
Most unexpected answer to a question? C:
We had 50 Cent a little while ago and there was a story that he always carries ten grand in his pocket, so I asked him, and he got it out and went bosh. [Slams hand on table.] That was cool.
Who’s smelt the nicest? C:
Dermot smells good. Rita Ora always smells good too. [Looks at Melvin.] You should know, you worked with her on The Xtra Factor. I don’t recall the musk. You didn’t mention you’ve got Rita’s number.
[Laughs.] She’s changed it. I checked on Whatsapp and the picture didn’t come up… She’s offline permanently! I called to see if the number still works, just in case.
What, like, in an emergency? R:
Yeah. Rita – my fridge has broken down.

Yeah, she’s probably just forgotten to send me a text with the new number…
