Strictly turns ugly as the stars start bitching – but who’s back is getting stabbed?

Apparently being a trained dancer has its faults

-

She’s wowed the judges and audience with her flexibility and well-extended limbs (seriously, how can this woman be 58?), but heat’s been told Debbie Mcgee isn’t as popular with her Strictly dancing co-stars. While she’s fun to have around, they feel her background as a trained ballet dancer gives her an unfair advantage.

“Debbie gets on with everyone, but a lot of the celebs are moaning behind her back, saying it’s not fair how a trained professional can compete in a show like this,” our well-placed source tells us. “She’s been dancing all her life, so she’s going to pick up the moves quickly, but nobody seems to refer to it. Aston [Merrygold] and Mollie [King] have been criticised because they’re pop stars, but nobody seems to say anything to Debbie, even though she’s got a lot more dance experience than them. They all moan about it and say it’s a fix.”

Debbie graduated from the Royal School of Ballet in her teens, before joining the Iranian National Ballet Company – quite an impressive dance CV.

Meanwhile, Brendan Cole is said to be ready to quit after rowing with the judges this series. “Strictly has lost something for him,” reveals our insider.

“He thinks some people don’t know the difference between constructive criticism and downright rudeness. And when it comes to celeb pairings, he feels he’s had the raw end of the deal over the past few years.”

Since getting to the final in 2012 with Sophie Ellis-bextor, he has been partnered with Kirsty Gallacher, Anastacia and Charlotte Hawkins, all of whom were voted out in the first weeks. Maybe he has a point… n
