It’s a bloody madhouse round Liam and Cheryl’s
But it’s definitely not quiet in Chiam’s palace
Never before has a giggle been so important. Last week, we got closer than ever to meeting Cheryl and Liam Payne’s baby Bear when the singer posted a cute video soundbite of his little boy laughing his tiny head off (complete with bear emoji). It was one of the many teasers Liam has given us into his and Chez’s home life, including a video of both their mums hanging out at their house in Surrey. And, as if that wasn’t exciting enough, heat spoke to Liam, who told us how magical his life is right now.
“There’s a lot of love in our house at the moment,” the Bedroom Floor singer told us. “Bear is the ultimate miracle child, it’s like we made him in a computer. He is amazing – happy all the time. [He’s] teething at the moment, so there is a little bit more crying than usual. He goes to sleep at 7pm and sleeps through until morning. He sleeps in our room at the moment.” Liam also told us how much fun the eight month old had at Halloween. “He was dressed as a spider,” says Liam. “His nan dresses him up a lot. He’s been dressed up as a Pokémon – it’s all happening! He’s got loads of bear outfits, bless him.”
In another interview at last week’s Pride of Britain Awards, Liam, 24, told heat that lucky Bear is doted on by all his grandparents, saying, “Cheryl is at home with him now and my parents are on the way over, they’re going to spend a week with us, which is really nice because I’m not going to get to see them much in December. I told them they should come back and hang out with us.”
And we’re told the couple love having a busy house – both mums are regular visitors as are 34-year-old Cheryl’s siblings. But as Liam’s video showed, Cheryl’s mum Joan, in particular, earns her stay. While Liam’s mum Karen was having breakfast, Joan was cleaning the kitchen, with Liam praising her as “hard working”. And it seems as if there are a lot of people to look after. “It’s been a bit of a madhouse ever since Bear arrived,” says an insider. “Both sides of their families have been around constantly. As well as Karen and Joan, they also have Cheryl’s sister, Gillian, staying a lot – and her kids and dogs.”
As heat told you last week, Chiam were left gutted when
the local council rejected their plans for a massive extension – which would almost double the size of their mansion and create a separate guest house. They’re now thinking of buying some land and creating their dream home from scratch – one of the reasons being to create space for their large, extended family to stay.
The source adds, “The house can feel packed at times. With everything going on, it can be bit of a pressure cooker. But, for the most part, everyone gets on really well.” House full of love? Just full, we reckon.
