Spider-man: Homecoming

After a few middling Spider-man films, the franchise got rebooted yet again with this latest version of the web-spinning superhero, played this time with absolute aplomb by Tom Holland. This is a younger, more naïve version of Spidey/peter Parker, who’s coming to terms with his powers while negotiating the ups and downs of high school, just like normal teens, such as his highly amusing best buddy Ned (Jacob Batalon) and the smartest girl around, MJ (Zendaya). Spider-man has to snap into action when Michael Keaton’s nasty Vulture enters his world. It’s action-packed fun all the way, and there’s a great twist that changes everything. Boyd Hilton
