Some Kind Of Wonderful
GIOVANNA FLETCHER (MICHAEL JOSEPH, £12.99) How the blooming heck this mum-of-two/vlogger/ actress/tv presenter/charity trekker managed to find time to write another novel, we don’t know – but we’re very glad she did, because Some
Kind Of Wonderful is her funniest, freshest and BEST yet. Lizzy wants nothing more than for her boyfriend of ten years, Ian, to propose – so when the unthinkable happens and he dumps her instead, her life is left in tatters. Fast-forward a few weeks (and some naked dancing to Bananarama later), and Lizzy realises that her sad ending might, in fact, be a brilliant new beginning – and this time she’s determined to work out what she really, really wants. There is so much we love about this book and its hilarious characters, and finishing it felt like leaving behind a whole set of new friends. Giovanna Fletcher is a women’s fiction author at the top of her game, and we’re very chuffed that we get to accompany her on the ride. Isabelle Broom
