Seventeen magazine that you used to dream about marrying Tom Cruise, the next minute you’re actually doing it in a 15th-century Italian castle, in front of a veritable who’s who of A-listers including Jennifer Lopez and Victoria Beckham, following the most stomach-turning public courtship the world has ever seen.
It’s been 11 years since Tom and Katie said “I do” (and five since they signed the divorce papers), but we still struggle to believe it ever actually happened. Back when Scientologist Tom was still a doting dad to daughter Suri (then a baby), everything –from the couple’s PDA publicity stunts to their wedding’s $3million price tag – was just so damn jaw-dropping.
But most confusing of all? How vertically-challenged Tom managed to appear taller than his blushing 5ft 9 bride in their wedding pic. Curiouser and curiouser…
