Brooklyn drops a Christmas bombshell on his family
T hey give us #familygoals almost every time they post a picture on Instagram, but heat ’s been told that the Beckhams, and Victoria in particular, are facing a tough Christmas this year.
Loved-up eldest son Brooklyn, 18, has told his mum that he’s thinking about spending the festive season with his actress girlfriend Chloë Moretz – who friends believe he may be about to propose to – and he’s considering staying in America with her and her family. This would be the first time he’s not been at the Beckham celebrations. And Posh – who also has sons, Romeo, 15, and Cruz, 12, as well as daughter Harper, six– is understandably upset.
“Victoria knew this day would come, but she didn’t think it would be as soon as this and she’s devastated Brooklyn may not be with them at Christmas,” our insider reveals. “They always spend it together as a family, and it just won’t be the same without him. She knows he’s totally in love with Chloë, and wants to spend as much time as possible with her, but Vic feels as if she’s starting to lose him and their family life has changed forever.”
Brooklyn is currently at college in New York and the whole family has been very open about how much they’re missing him. And while the aspiring photographer is also homesick, it seems his priority now is 20-year-old Chloë. Especially as we hear he’s close to asking her to marry him .
This hasn’t gone down too well with Vic, 43, who’s now secretly regretting encouraging their relationship. heat told you back in September that she was keen for her son to get back with “good influence” Chloë. “Brooklyn’s been crazy in love with Chloë for the past three years, even though it’s been on/off at times,” the source says. “He really wants to buy her something special for Christmas and his friends think it could even be an engagement ring. Poor Victoria is panicked about her eldest son growing up too fast and is doing everything she can to convince Brooklyn not to rush things. She thinks Chloë’s fantastic and would love to have her as a daughter-in-law one day, but she doesn’t think Brooklyn’s old enough.”
Judging by the commitment rings they’ve both been wearing on their wedding fingers, we think Vic’s influence over Brooklyn is waning…
