“She’s keen on a ceremony in the Caribbean,” says an insider close to the couple, who’ve been together since 2013, and have a son, Eric, three. “Lauren’s wanted to get married since Eric was born and is talking about a 14 February ceremony in St Barts. It would be a special date, because it’s also their son’s fourth birthday. It wouldn’t take a lot of planning because, frankly, all they have to do is fly out guests on a private jet. After that, it’s going to be very laid-back.

“Lauren needs to get a dress and sort out bridesmaids’ outfits, but she already has something in mind. She knows that Eric would love for Mum and Dad to get married, and Lauren says they could talk about another baby once they’ve tied the knot.”

We’re told notorious bachelor Simon, 58, may finally be ready to commit, following his recent fall down the stairs, which needed hospital treatment. Since then he’s been on a major health kick, cutting down on cigarettes and booze. But it’s also given him a fresh perspective on his relationship with Lauren, 40. “It was a real wake-up call for Simon,” says our source. “It really shook him up and got him worrying about what would happen to Eric if he was no longer around. He and Lauren have talked about marriage in the past, but now he could finally be ready. He’s very settled with Lauren and wants to do the right thing by her. He’s ready to take better care of himself and settle into life as a happily married family man.
