Charlotte Crosby is left heartbroken after ex-boyfriend Gaz Beadle becomes a father

She’s been putting on a brave face

While reality star Gary Beadle was celebrating becoming a dad for the first time last week, there’s no doubt it’s been a heartbreaking time for his ex, Charlotte Crosby, who suffered an ectopic pregnancy with Gaz’s baby less than two years ago.

Gaz, 29, welcomed a baby boy this week with girlfriend of 17 months Emma Mcvey, 25, and told his followers, “I am a dad, can’t believe it... I cried, I smiled, I panicked but I will be there for him no matter what.” Clearly trying to put a brave face on things, Charlotte tweeted Gaz and Emma, “Congratulations to you both,” and he simply replied, “Thank you”.

Gaz and Charlotte started their on/off romance on Geordie Shore in 2011, but things ended badly after Gaz slept with multiple women on 2016’s Ex On The

Beach – despite Charlotte saying they were giving their relationship a proper go. Things got even more complicated when she was rushed to hospital in agony with heavy bleeding. Charlotte had suffered an ectopic pregnancy – where a fertilised egg implants itself outside of the womb – and her fallopian tube had ruptured, causing internal bleeding. The reality star, who hadn’t even known she was pregnant, was told if she’d ignored the pain any longer, it could have killed her.

After having a fallopian tube and an ovary removed, Charlotte admitted in an exclusive interview with heat that she was terrified, saying, “I was so scared I wasn’t going to be able to have babies, so I was crying so much… I want to have children.” She also revealed she’d been told it would be harder for her to conceive in the future.

When Gaz announced Emma was expecting a baby in August 2017, Charlotte – who’s now dating reality star Josh Ritchie, following a messy break-up from Stephen Bear – was clearly devastated. After breaking down in tears during a live TV interview, she admitted, “It actually gets me a bit emotional. I’ve gotten so many nice messages over the past couple of days. I can’t even describe how grateful I am for all the support.”
