Liam begs Cheryl to join him in LA – but she isn’t keen

But can he tempt Chezza away from her Surrey baby bubble?

The thought of living a life of luxury in constant sunshine is a no-brainer to most of us. But not, apparently, if you’re Cheryl. We’re told the singer isn’t ready to uproot her life in Surrey in favour of LA just yet, even though boyfriend Liam Payne would love her and their ten-month-old son Bear to move there with him.

“Liam spent half of last year in the US,” our Chiam insider says. “He has been doing a lot of long-distance flights, and juggling his schedule to make sure he can be back in the UK for Bear and Cheryl. But he thinks it’s important for him to be based over in the US full-time for his career and he’s exhausted from the travel. Of course he loves coming back home, but sometimes it feels like all of his downtime is spent on planes or recovering from jet lag. He wants Cheryl and Bear there with him. And then they can do holidays when he has time off, as well as living the LA lifestyle in the sunshine. Long term, he thinks it’s the best thing for them as a family.”

The couple currently live in Surrey, but Liam, 24, travels a lot because of his music commitments and, while Cheryl, 34, has got her own routine for her and Bear in the UK, he’s offered to soften the blow by letting her choose where they live.

“He’s giving Cheryl free rein,” says the insider. “His previous house in Calabasas was so far out of LA, and the place he currently rents in Hollywood is unsuitable for a young child. He has been showing her brochures of all these fabulous houses in Beverly Hills that they can live in.”

But it seems Chezza can’t be persuaded at the moment. Although she knows it would be great for them as a family, as heat has told you before, she’s relaunching her music career this year and needs to be in the UK for that, as well as deciding whether to become a full-time judge on The X Factor again.

“Her argument is that it will be so much more difficult for her to launch her solo career in a country where no one knows her – her fan base is in the UK,” we’re told. “She is saying that surely they can just make it work this way. Of course Liam respects this, but he loves the idea of moving out to LA in the near future. He’s offering her whatever she wants to make it work.”
