Doctors warn Lauren: ‘no more Lipo!’
The surgery-obsessed star can’t get enough
She’s been proudly showing off her flatter stomach and lifted booty all over social media in recent weeks, after admitting to her followers she’d had liposuction to get rid of her “lumps and bumps”. But sources close to Lauren Goodger say her obsession with surgery is spiralling out of control – and now, we’re told, doctors are refusing to perform any more operations on the reality star for fear of doing serious damage to her body.
“Lauren was told by her lipo surgeon that it’s the last time he can operate on her,” a source close to the former TOWIE star tells heat. “She’s reached her limit on artificial fat removal. If she wants to lose more, she’ll have to do it naturally or risk damaging her stomach permanently.”
The 31 year old, who last week told fans she’d be returning to the show this year, has been on a serious mission to overhaul her body and drop from her current size 12 to a size 8. In early January, she posted the quote, “May the booty get fatter and my stomach get flatter,” on Instagram, after confirming she’d travelled to the Elite Clinic in Turkey for treatment. Having been open in the past about her cosmetic procedures, including a nose job and lip fillers, Lauren revealed, “I’m so swollen – my legs, face, arms – like a balloon.”
Now friends say the star has become increasingly reliant on the quick fix of surgery, and having been cut off by the professionals, she’s turned to crash dieting. We’re told she’s following a “pumpkin, water and wine diet”, after reading that pumpkins are nutrientrich and low in calories. But, even so, the insider says, she’s reluctant to listen to the warnings against further procedures.
“She’s been told of the toxic risks,” our source says. “It’s just not healthy to be removing litres of fat so often. She’s potentially risking her life with extreme lipo. But she can’t stand the gym, and her diets only last a few weeks before she flops. So, if she can’t have lipo, she’ll consider a gastric band. She sees it as a great cheat to get slim.” n Charlotte oliver
