FERNE: MUM’S THE WORD

She chats to heat about going blonde and baby Sunday

- Katie Holloway Ferne has launched her own exclusive collection at Poundland, available in stores nationwide from February

Ferne Mccann wowed fans with her glamorous look at last week’s NTAS, but after being pictured knocking back a shot while getting ready, Ferne, 27, had to shut down cruel comments about breastfeeding and drinking. “It wasn’t a shot, it was a glass of prosecco that comes with a cocktail. I enjoyed a well-deserved night out,” she wrote on Instagram. Here, here!

And when we caught up with Ferne – who gave birth to daughter Sunday in November – she clearly wasn’t letting the haters get to her…

How were the NTAS?

It was my first night out since having the baby, so it was a big deal and I had so much fun. I love the NTAS.

You looked amazing. Have you been getting back to the gym?

When I had Sunday, I was in no rush to get back into the gym – I just wanted to enjoy her. But recently, I’ve gone back to my personal trainer. It’s just good for the mind, isn’t it?

We love the new blonde ’do. Why the change?

Thank you! It was time to get my extensions redone and I spoke with my hairdresser and he was like, “Let’s go for it.”

Do blondes have more fun?

I’m still finding out…

How long do you spend getting ready for a night out?

I’ve had to shorten my time now – it’s hard getting ready with a baby. For a full night out, I would definitely give myself three hours. Does that seem a lot?

Er, maybe. Which product from your new Poundland cosmetics range would you take out with you?

The perfume. It’s such a cute handbag size, I’m going to take it with me everywhere. I absolutely love the scent.

What’s your best beauty tip for a busy mum?

Coconut oil. I got that tip from Victoria Beckham. You can put it all over your skin, and on your baby, too.

How are you finding motherhood?

It’s just the best thing. Sunday’s now three months, which is crazy – the time has gone so quickly. I’ve finally moved out of my mum’s and back home into my own flat… again.

‘I’ve finally moved out of my mum’s house’
