She won’t leave home without him and Kieran’s not happy
There is nothing sexier than a man whose literal job it is to protect you, and nobody knows that better than Katie Price. Friends say the star is becoming increasingly obsessed with her hot new bodyguard, know n simply as Omar – to the point where she won’t go anywhere without him. And you can guess how much husband Kieran Hayler likes that.
“Katie won’t leave home without Omar,” says an insider close to the former glamour model, who’s been accompanied regularly by Omar in recent weeks. “Katie’s been feeling very vulnerable recently. She’s had so many threats from sickos threatening her family, and Harvey in particular, so Omar is like a security blanket. She’s paranoid about going any where without him.”
Police have previously revealed three separate kidnap plots involving Katie, 39, and her children, Harvey, 15, Junior, 12, Princess, ten, Bunny, four, and Jett, three. And last autumn, she was forced to cancel two shows on her tour, when her management company received threatening messages in emails. Before Christmas, Katie confirmed she even had police guarding her home in West Sussex, after blackmailers threatened Harvey, saying his face “would be smashed in” if she didn’t pay them £50,000. On top of that, friends say the model has been left feeling upset in recent months after her mum Amy was diagnosed with a terminal lung condition. “Katie’s had so much on her plate, she just wants to feel safe again,” says the source. “That’s why she needs Omar around all the time. He does that for her. And it’s not just bodyguards, she’s also installed a state-of-the-art CCTV system worth over £150,000 in the house. Katie has so many security screens in her house, she says it feels like Big Brother.”
But, fairly predictably, her husband of five years isn’t best pleased by this new obsession. The pair have been on the rocks since last summer when sex addict Kieran, 30, confessed he’d cheated yet again – this time with the nanny (who denies the claims). We’re told, “Kieran isn’t happy about Omar being around so much and how much time Katie is spending with him. Katie has tried to reassure him, and explained this is about keeping her children safe, but he doesn’t get it. He feels that this is part of her revenge on him and he has to put up with it. But Katie insists it’s the only way to feel secure, and after everything Kieran’s done over the years, she’s not worried about what he thinks.” n
