Chris: ‘Olivia and I are getting better at communicating’

Well, it is quite important for a relationship

-

While most girls expect a posh meal out for Valentine’s Day, Chris Hughes would happily take girlfriend Olivia Attwood to Mcdonald’s – and insists she’d be fine about it. The 25 year old tells us, “I’m not saying it’s the most romantic thing, but she wouldn’t moan about it.”

The couple recently marked their six-month anniversary in Amsterdam, a trip Chris affirms was much needed.

“We haven’t been away. Love Island was not a holiday, it was like emotional turmoil, so it was really nice to have an actual break together,” he says. “It helps the relationship, to have that downtime.”

With the pair filming for their new show and Chris set to release his autobiography, he agrees it’s been difficult to maintain a relationship.

“It is hard, but we’re getting better at communicating because we both want to. It’s natural, it’s not forced or anything,” he reveals. “Obviously, at the moment, we’re filming together, but when we aren’t, we’d rather be in each other’s company, so we keep in touch.”

After an alleged bust-up at the recent NTAS, Olivia, 26, branded Chris a “bad drunk” and Chris told us he found her admission “surprising”. And one revelation that might shock fans is that they have discussed kids.

“We did more so in the first couple of months,” he admits. “At the moment, we’re focused on work and being the best we can be together as a couple. But, one day, hopefully.” Chris has teamed up with Joey Essex and Oliver Proudlock to celebrate the Big Mac’s 50th birthday. Check it out at Youtube.com/user/mcdonaldsuk
