Justin & selena Jelena are ready for a sunshine wedding of their own
We were sceptical when they gave their on/off relationship yet another shot, but last week, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez appeared more loved-up than ever as they attended Justin’s dad Jeremy’s wedding in Jamaica.
Despite it being someone else’s big day, the A-list pair kissed, cuddled and generally acted like a pair of doe-eyed newlyweds. And it may not be long before they walk down the aisle. “Since they got back together, Justin and Selena have been dropping hints about getting married,” a source tells heat.
“Everyone is convinced he’s about to propose and they’ll get married in the summer. They’re completely in love and, after watching Justin’s dad get married, it’s made them even more determined to do it.”
Teen sweethearts Justin, 23, and Selena, 25, fully embraced the pinkthemed nuptials as they celebrated alongside family and friends, with Bieber appearing to act as best man for his father, who was marrying long-term partner Chelsey Rebelo.
Selena stopped short of bringing her wedding planner with her, but the couple were said to be soaking up inspiration at the luxurious Caribbean location. “They’d love a wedding abroad with all their friends and family in one place, and were really inspired by Jeremy and Chelsey’s,” says our insider.
It’s been a rocky road to happiness for the super-star couple. They fell head-over-heels back in 2010, and Justin hired out the entire Staples Centre in LA for one date, organising a candlelit dinner on the basketball court followed by a screening of Titanic. But, since then, they’ve been on and off more times than Justin’s shirt.
After their big split in 2014, and despite several reunions, the pair went on to date other people – Selena had a ten-month relationship with singer The Weeknd, while Justin dated, well, everyone. In between several brushes with the law and generally being a bit of an idiot, that is.
However, after the pop star cleaned up his act and won Selena back last autumn, it seems they are meant to be. Jelena 2.0 are frequently spotted on wholesome bike rides, church visits and, more recently, on a romantic Valentine’s Day date.
“They definitely want to get married before they have a baby,” we’re told. “Neither of them see the point of hanging around. Everything’s totally different this time.”
Best get our frocks ready, then.
