She’s been resolutely single for almost a year now, ever since she revealed her pregnancy at the same time her baby daddy Arthur Collins was charged for his part in a nightclub acid attack last April.
Now, with Arthur sentenced to 20 years in prison, Ferne Mccann is moving on and, according to friends, is “finally happy”, thanks to a new romance with an older man. And he isn’t behind bars, which already makes him infinitely more eligible.
“He’s quite a bit older than her and she seems the happiest she’s been in a long time,” an insider tells heat, adding that Ferne has known the mystery man for more than a year, but only started dating him a month and a half ago. “She’s had a terrible time of things recently, so she’s being realistic – she’s keen to keep the romance out of the spotlight, as he’s not a celebrity and it’s early days. But she’s the happiest she’s been in ages.”
Last month, the 27 year old was forced to deny again that she was still in a relationship with her jailbird ex, ranting on Twitter about the “many FALSE stories about me”, and insisting they’re only in touch via lawyers for the sake of their baby daughter Sunday, who was born in November. But despite remaining tight-lipped about her new beau, it’s clear she’s been enjoying a new lease of life in the past few months, moving on with a new blonde hairdo in January. Obviously, we’re made up for her, as she’s long overdue some romantic success. But one question remains: how much older is “quite a bit older”?
