Jennifer Garner was on winning form at last week’s Oscars – and broke the internet in the process. The 45-year-old actress looked incredible in a cobalt blue dress. Jen paired the Atelier Versace gown with around £600,000 worth of jewellery. Bling!
Jen’s glam look is said to be down to the mum of three feeling ready to date again, after her drawn-out split from Ben Affleck. The couple – parents to Violet, 12, Seraphina, nine, and five-year-old son Samuel – announced their separation in 2015 but only officially divorced in early 2017. While Ben, 45, who’s been in and out of rehab for alcohol addiction, reportedly embarked on a fling with the children’s nanny – which he denies – and is now dating TV producer Lindsay Shookus, Jen remained resolutely single – until she was spotted arm in arm with a mystery man in LA last month.
As is Oscars tradition, every year a new glorious meme was born and this time, Jen was the shining star. Clapping away happily for the Best Picture winner, The Shape Of Water, she appeared to look like she had just had a profound epiphany. Later, Jen provided a few explanations for her “sudden realisation” moment on Instagram – joking that, following The Shape Of Water’s success, maybe she should start dating fish? Personally, we reckon she’s just realised she should have left Ben sooner.
