So many men, so little time
It would take a strong man to survive a relationship with Gemma Collins and, while we’re just not sure anyone’s up to the task, she’s certainly been auditioning a few men recently.
The GC recently sparked speculation that she was back in pursuit of her old flame, James “Arg” Argent, when she recently went on Loose Women. Although she appeared on the show with 54-year-old Laurence – her ultimate pick from her time on Celebs Go Dating – she firmly batted him into the friend zone before turning her attention to an invitation from Arg. Gemma revealed to the audience that Arg, 30, had just asked her out on a date, “He actually rung me earlier and he was like, ‘Gem, can I take you on a date tonight?’”
Clearly a difficult offer to refuse, the former couple were pictured out in Essex sharing a curry that evening – and the date seemed to go really well. The next morning, Gemma posted an Instagram story, showing she was snuggled up in bed with a topless Arg. She deleted the post 15 minutes later, but not before everyone’s tongues started wagging that the pair were back together.
Gemma freely admits she has feelings for Arg, recently saying, “It’s been on and off for six years and I’ve made it very clear that I’m ready for marriage and a family. He’s not and there’s no sign he will be any time soon.”
Both Gemma and Arg have confessed to occasionally sleeping with each other – they even spent Christmas and New Year together in Marbella. Gemma has gone so far as to talk about marriage and babies with her ex, revealing, “I’ve loved Arg for many years and we’ve always had a special connection. We have a deep love for each other. I’ve even picked what our babies’ names would be.”
However, seemingly in a bid to confuse us, there’s another man on the scene – jailbird ex-boyfriend, Stephen Mortimer. Gemma was spotted with him in a luxury hotel on Valentine’s Day, apparently clutching a bottle of Champagne and enquiring about spa treatments. The pair dated for six months in 2015, before he cheated on her, and were also pictured together last year after he was released from his second stint in prison.
As The GC put it herself, “I’m 37, with no time to waste.” We think you might need to cast your net a little wider, Gem.
