She’s lost 18lbs, but it’s not enough
When your special skill is yo-yo dieting, you better believe losing 18lbs in the space of a few weeks is a big deal for Lauren Goodger. But insiders tell heat it’s not enough for the reality star, who has set herself a target designed specifically to annoy ex-boyfriend Mark Wright… “Lauren is telling everyone she wants to look better than Mark’s wife, Michelle Keegan – and thinner,” says an insider close to the 31 year old, who dated Mark, 31, on and off for ten years before splitting for good in 2011. “She’s lost 18lbs, but she’s not stopping until she’s ‘winning’.”
Last week, the former TOWIE star unveiled her latest weight loss on Instagram, crediting a21day juice cleanse in Portugal, run by Jason Vale. Lauren said she felt “powerful” after “pure juicing, hikes, some training, and either a small salad or soup of an evening.”
“Lauren looks great and she’s on cloud nine,” says the insider. “She doesn’t want to be really skinny, she just wants to look hot. She has a ‘woman’s body’ and she’s happy with that. Lauren always says how everyone thinks stick-thin is sexy, but really it’s just unhealthy. Her girl crush is Kelly Brook – she thinks she’s stunning.”
And friends say Lauren’s not stopping with bikini shots on social media. “She wants to pose for Playboy before becoming a mum,” says an insider close to the broody star, who has spoken openly about her plans to have a baby in 2018. “Lauren says she’s had more compliments than ever in the past few weeks, and she wants to make the most of it before getting baby-ready later in the year. That also means finding a man who would make a good husband and father!”
But insiders say the TV star, who admitted to having lipo in January, might not be able to keep the weight off for long. “As with all Lauren’s diets, it’s another faddy one,” says the source. “Yes, she has lost weight, but she will almost certainly put it all back on again. Lauren herself says she can easily put on a stone in a week if she’s not careful!” n
