Bey & Jay take the kids On The Run

Because the family that slays together...

Never ones to do things by halves, Beyoncé and Jay Z announced their new joint tour in typically over-the-top fashion last week. The pair posted a series of dramatic black-and-white pictures and videos to Instagram, revealing they’re heading off around the world this summer. And, with 36 dates – 15 more than their previous tour – and a huge entourage to look after them and their kids, insiders tell heat this four-month-long circus is set to be bigger, better, and more ridiculous than anything we’ve seen before.

“Bey is used to having the best, and just because she’s travelling, doesn’t mean she’s going without all the luxuries she’s accustomed to,” says a source close to the performers, who are parents to Blue Ivy, six, and twins Rumi and Sir, who will turn one mid-tour. “That means everything from a dressing room kept at exactly 78ºf and filled with rose-scented candles, to a chef on hand. And Jay is just as bad – his demands include cases of his Ace of Spades Champagne everywhere he goes. He likes his rooms heated to 71ºf and wants $80 Mayan tuberosescented candles. Even the twins will be pampered – Bey and Jay have asked for versions of the twins’ 18-carat gold-plated cribs, complete with silk bedding and changing mats. Money’s not really an issue – they know they’re going to make a killing the second the tickets go on sale.”

On The Run II will kick off with Beyoncé, 36, and Jay, 48, visiting Cardiff on 6 June. From there, they’ll head to Glasgow, Manchester and London, followed by 11 dates around Europe. They’ll then return to the US for a further 21 dates across north America, finishing up in Vancouver on 2 October. It comes four years after their last joint tour, On The Run, which netted them a mere $109million. With nearly twice as many dates, sources say they could easily make $200m this time. But their overheads are set to be pricey, with our insider saying, “Bringing the children means they’ll require four nannies. And on top of the childcare team, they’ll also need hair and make-up artists and personal stylists. They’re bringing six bodyguards, and will have extra security provided by each of their hotels and concert venues.

“As far as they’re concerned, they can’t be too careful and they’ll spend whatever it takes to keep their children safe.”

And it sounds like Bey will be personally vetting all the staff. “She’s being careful about making sure the nannies she hires aren’t too attractive,” says another insider close to the couple, who have worked hard to repair their marriage, after Jay Z reportedly admitted to cheating on Beyoncé. “It seems like Bey will keep Jay on

a short leash. He’s going to have to follow a strict schedule drawn up by her, which will include a curfew. There won’t be any partying until the early hours of the morning. They’ll be celebrating their tenth wedding anniversary, so Bey wants it to be romantic. It’s going to bring the whole family together.”
