Ferne Mccann has explained why she backtracked on her decision not to visit her ex Arthur Collins in prison, after revealing she will take their daughter Sunday to see him.

After a turbulent 2017, in which Arthur was convicted of an acid attack in a London nightclub and Ferne gave birth to their baby daughter, the 27 year old has decided to “let her anger go and move forwards”.

Earlier this year, Ferne denied the rumours that she had been taking Sunday to visit Arthur, saying, “As I have already made clear, I visited him once and I have not been to see him since. I have repeatedly made clear that I have not been to see him.” However, after seeking legal advice, Ferne says she’s decided to give in to demands from the Collins family and their lawyers to take Sunday in to see her father, who’s serving 20 years.

“It is a huge thing to have to make decisions you are forced into,” she said last week. “I have to think of Sunday and what is best for her. It hasn’t been an easy decision and some people may think I’m wrong. But the last thing I want to do is hide what is going on. If Arthur has to see Sunday, then I want absolute control of the situation. If she is going into a prison, I want to be with her and know she’s OK.”

Ferne also admitted to visiting the 25 year old in prison last year, before his trial began. “I had to go and see him,” she said. “I hadn’t seen him since I found out about the acid attack, and yet I was carrying his child. I needed to confront him and show my anger. And I had a lot of questions I wanted to ask… So many lives were devastated that night and one of them was mine.”

Ferne also confirmed the rumours that she’s seeing an older man – saying that while she wouldn’t yet call it a relationship, the mystery man has “been there for me emotionally”. Ferne has previously said, “I’m definitely open to finding love again because I’m a romantic at heart, but it has to be when the time is right.”

Now, having hopefully dealt with her latest baby daddy drama, the star is looking forward to happier times. Paying tribute to Sunday on her Instagram on Mother’s Day, she wrote, “Baby girl thank you for bringing so much joy and happiness to my life. You are my magic girl and I love you.”
