WHO RUINED KHLO’S BABY SHOWER?
This is what happens when you get them all in one room
Had the most unbelievable baby shower,” Khloé Kardashian wrote on Instagram, tagging in her, er, sponsors Amazon. And behind the scenes, insiders confirm the event was indeed unbelievable – but not in the way Khloé would have us believe. In fact, heat can reveal that the eight-months-pregnant star had a meltdown after last week’s pink-themed party, thanks to her attention-seeking sisters ruining almost everything.
“Khloé was in tears after the shower ended,” says an insider close to the 33 year old, who is having her first baby with her boyfriend, basketball star Tristan Thompson. “She was so excited beforehand, but by the time everyone left, she was devastated.”
The event, which – we’ll say it again – had a sponsor, was hosted at the Hotel Bel Air in LA. It featured hundreds of pink balloons, an array of fancy cakes, a wall of pink flowers, and a gift list totalling a whopping $90,000.
The star-studded attendees included actress Kyle Richards, singer Justine Skye, and sports stars Lebron James and Kevin Love. And, of course, Kris Jenner, Kourtney, Kim, and Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
Afterwards, Khloé wrote a series of thank yous on social media, commenting alongside a picture, “So grateful to be surrounded by a beautiful support system.” Then, next to a pouty group shot of her family, Khloé wrote, “Magical moments with the most magical women! I’ll forever be in love with YOU!” But despite her gushing words, friends say Khloé was furious. “Her sisters acted like they didn’t care about the party,” says the source. “They went through the motions and smiled for the cameras, but they seemed incredibly unenthusiastic. Kourtney made some pretty cutting comments in front of Khloé, about how she’d be happy to never attend another baby shower again. And Kylie was even worse – she just sat there on her phone, texting the entire time. She didn’t say more than two sentences to her sister.”
Meanwhile, friends say Kim, 37, who recently welcomed her third child, Chicago, via a surrogate, appeared to be jealous of all the attention being lavished on Khloé. We’re told, “All Kim did was talk about Chicago. She refused to join in any conversations with Khloé about her plans after the baby is born. Kim seemed so envious of Khloé being the centre of attention. Khloé loves her sisters,
but she was so upset they didn’t make more of an effort. She’s so happy with her life right now and they really ruined the afternoon. The closeness they’ve always portrayed on TV is increasingly far from the truth, and Khloé’s baby shower really exposed those tensions between them.”
After getting rid of her rude sisters, Khloé and Tristan – who have been dating since August 2016 – headed off for their own private celebration at Beauty & Essex restaurant in Hollywood. It was to celebrate Tristan’s 27th birthday, but we’re betting there was a bit of sister-bitching, too…
