She can’t quite let go of her jailed baby daddy
Another week, another lot of awkward revelations for Ferne Mccann. Two weeks after doing an about-turn and admitting she was going to take daughter Sunday to visit ex-boyfriend Arthur Collins in prison, pictures of him living it up behind bars have emerged. The snaps show Arthur, 25, in his cell posing with alcohol and 12 smuggled mobile phones while wearing a designer tracksuit. It’s thought the photos were taken after Sunday and Ferne’s first visit last November, just days after he was found guilty of a London acid attack. Ferne, 27, had claimed the visit was to tell Arthur he would “never see us again” – but insiders say that didn’t appear to be the case. “After he first met his baby girl, Arthur got a few lads round his cell to celebrate,” one revealed. “They were drinking 63 per cent proof Wray & Nephew rum mixed with ginger beer and joking around. He’s still hoping he can sort things with Ferne.”
It was also claimed last week that Ferne had been making up stories about being in a relationship with “an older man” because she’s still “hopelessly in love with Arthur”. So, what is going on? Well, we’re told that Ferne hasn’t given up on a future with him.
“Ferne’s glad it’s all out in the open and she can visit Arthur without worrying about being seen,” says the source. “Of course, she still has feelings for Arthur and they always come back when she sees him. She really doesn’t know what the future holds, but she does know how happy she was with him before all of this. She says what’s meant to be will be.”
While Arthur – who is appealing his sentence – was initially jailed for 20 years, he had an eight-month sentence added on after he was found to have smuggled a mobile phone into prison and, understandably, the pictures of him living it up in prison have not gone down well.
One of his victims, Sophie Hall, has spoken out, saying, “They make me feel sick. How can someone who has done something so evil have alcohol and mobile phones in prison? It infuriates me.”
