Kim and Kanye ditch the kids and book themselves a trip to marriage boot camp
They’re ditching the kids in a bid to reconnect
It can’t be easy being Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. When they’re not raking in gazillions and travelling the world by private jet, they’re slogging away at home, tirelessly raising their three kids with their roster of nannies and assistants. So, we’re not surprised that, with little time left for romance, their four-year marriage is reportedly suffering. But, of course, the couple want the marriage to work, and we’re told they are redoubling their efforts to fix their problems… by heading to love boot camp.
“Kim and Kanye realised things in their relationship were sliding again, and their therapist suggested they take long weekends away from LA, where they can get away from distractions,” an insider close to the couple tells heat. “While they’re on these trips,

they have rules: no social media, no kids and lots of shared activities like couples’ workouts, massages and therapy sessions via Facetime. They’ve been away a few times and it’s worked well – it’s brought them closer.”
As heat has previously told you, Kimye have been seeing a “love doctor” since their daughter Chicago was born in January, in a bid to put the spark back into their marriage. But with endless distractions in LA – not to mention two older kids, Saint, two, and four-year-old North constantly vying for attention – they’ve been left little time for themselves. The solution, it seems, is escaping it all.
“The weekend breaks have been a big success so far,” we’re told. “They’ve stayed in a cabin in [Californian beauty spot] Big Sur and also spent time in Palm Springs. Kim and Kanye give their nannies and families the resort number in case of emergencies, and then switch off all electronic devices. They like going to remote places, where they can stay away from the paparazzi and feel like no one can get to them.”
Last week, Kim posted pictures from a skiing trip to Wyoming, where Kanye has been holed up working on his music. We’re told that, when she arrived, her husband dismissed his entourage for an entire day and rented a private cabin for just the two of them. And our insiders say the peace and quiet did them a world of good – especially since, at home, things are anything but tranquil.
“North and Saint have been acting up for months,” our source adds. “They’ve been tormenting their nannies and tearing up the house. It’s a nightmare. North can get a little jealous of the attention Chicago gets, and Saint is in his terrible twos. He’s going through a needy period and his tantrums are off the charts. Kim is overloaded with work obligations and even though she has plenty of staff to help her with the kids, North and Saint don’t want to deal with nannies and would rather run into their parents’ bedroom to wake them up in the morning. They’re constantly making mischief.”
With toddlers being “needy” and ruining Kimye’s precious sleep, it’s no wonder they’re scarpering at the weekends. If only more parents knew. n
