Sarah Harding sparks fears she needs to get back to rehab

The star’s sparked fresh concern with her boozy behaviour

She may have taken the title of Celebrity Big Brother champ last year, but Sarah Harding was a divisive winner after she spent most evenings in the house getting drunk and lashing out at her housemates. And last week, the former Girls Aloud star sparked concern again as she hit the booze at a swanky celeb do in central London, with her more-than-tipsy behaviour and dishevelled appearance at an otherwise classy, restrained event. Now fans are worried that Sarah, who’s battled drink and drug addiction in the past, could still be struggling.

“Sarah looked like she was off her trolley,” an onlooker at last week’s party tells heat. “It’s upsetting – she seemed a shadow of her former self. She was very loud and it looked like people were avoiding her, but she kept getting into pictures uninvited. It’s desperately sad that she’s seemingly gotten so low. You wouldn’t recognise her from her Girls Aloud days.”

The 36 year old has a welldocumented history of alcohol dependency, and checked herself into a rehabilitation facilit y in South Africa in 2011 after her engagement to DJ Tom Crane broke down – an event that, by her own admission, sent her into meltdown. She said, “I just went mental. It took a couple of weeks to sink in, and I went off the rails really badly.” She also confirmed that she’d been hooked on alcohol and sleeping pills.

A year after leaving rehab, Sarah said she was a changed woman and, despite not totally giving up alcohol, had “reined it right in”, now only “enjoying a glass of wine socially with dinner or when I’m out with friends”.

But despite adopting a more low-key lifestyle, and moving out of London to the countryside in 2014, Sarah has continued to cause concern throughout the years – especially last summer, when her drunken behaviour often turned aggressive on Celeb

BB and she was labelled “Cider Sarah” by her co-star, singer Amelia Lily. Now, following last week’s appearance, people are speculating on her health once again. After the pictures appeared online, reactions included, “She needs rehab. It’s sad seeing these pics” and “vulnerable woman who has sought help and clearly needs it again”.

Here’s hoping that last week’s appearance was a minor blip in an otherwise healthier, happier lifestyle for the star. That, or it served as a serious wake-up call.
