BLUE IVY: BUSINESS TYCOON

Maybe she can finally explain to us what a hedge fund is Jay’s got beef with her veganism

We’ve told you before that there’s only room for one Queen B in the Carter-knowles household: Beyoncé and Jay Z’s six-year-old daughter Blue Ivy. But last week, the little diva reached epic heights of supremacy and threw her pocket money to the wind as she casually upped an art auction bid to $19,000, before successfully bidding $10,000 on a separate painting. Seriously, she barely broke a sweat. According to insiders, this is hardly surprising for a girl who has been seeing a confidence coach since birth… oh, and counts a business coach among her entourage. Honestly, we’re half in awe, and half terrified.

“Blue lives like an adult – that is how she’s being raised, like a small grown-up with a lot of power,” an insider close to the superstar family tells heat. “Her confidence coach has her recite daily affirmations like, ‘I am the most powerful girl in the world,’ because Bey and Jay want their daughter to avoid any of the confidence issues young girls often have. They’re bringing her up to believe she is a world ruler with special powers.”

But it’s not just self-belief that Blue has mastered. Thanks to expert training, she’s also a shrewd businesswoman, with a keen eye for investment. According to our source, she’s a mega-skilled high roller who knew full well what she was doing with the paddle at last week’s auction, held at grandma Tina Knowles’ Wearable Art Gala in Los Angeles.

“Blue’s been taught how to play poker so she understands how to hedge bets in public, how to negotiate and win,” we’re told. “And, yes, she’s had lessons on auction bidding. She probably knows more about investing, hedge funds and property than most adults. She also has her own stock portfolio and has told her parents she wants to e-trade.”

Meanwhile, Wall Street traders aren’t the only ones feeling the might of little miss Blue. At home, Bey, Jay and Blue’s younger siblings, nine-month-old twins Rumi and Sir, rarely get a look in at all. “Blue’s allowed to put together her own menu for the week and tells her parents how they should dress and act,” says our insider. “She even acts like a marriage counsellor and often referees Bey and Jay’s arguments. She tells them who she thinks needs to apologise first.”

So, make no mistake: the next time you see Blue Ivy Carter hitting the red carpet in custom gold couture, a statement headpiece, and a wily smile (and there will be a next time), remember that there’s more to this six year old than meets the eye. Either bow down, or start taking notes – because she’s only just getting started. ■ CHARLOTTE OLIVER

She’s due to be headlining Coachella next month and, understandably, wants to look her best. But while self-improvement is a personal choice, Beyoncé’s extreme diet regime is having a knock-on effect on those around her. And Jay Z’s not happy about it.

“Bey’s following a vegan diet, but she’s going overboard,” a source tells heat. “She’s getting her private chef to prepare portion-controlled dishes and is eating six times a day at super-specific times, starting with a morning smoothie and having snacks and salads throughout the day. But the problem is, she’s making the entire household follow the diet, too.” It’s no secret that husband Jay Z has a penchant for fine wine, even having a stake in his very own luxury Champagne brand, Ace Of Spades. But while the rapper loves nothing more than kicking back with a glass of fizz at the end of a long day, his strict wife has other ideas. “If Jay orders something that Bey doesn’t approve of, she’ll cancel it and get him a salad,” we’re told. “He loves wine in the evening, as well as cheese and pasta with clams, but Bey rolls her eyes if he so much as suggests that they take a night off from the diet. She’s also working out like crazy and is getting grumpy a lot – it’s her mood swings that are really driving him crazy.” Poor Jay – we’d say he should fight his corner but, like our insider says, “When Beyoncé makes up her mind about something, she won’t be swayed.” He’d better get big boss Blue Ivy on the case. n
