Glacial stares, moody pouts and lack of human contact – it must be a Kardashian-west family pic. But we’re told that, behind the scenes, the photo that Kim Kardashian shared last week of herself, Kanye West and all three children for the first time, looking cool AF in the Easter sun, wasn’t as wholesome as we’ve been led to believe. Behind the effortless warmth emanating from the image, there was some serious media-spinning at work. Can you believe it?

“It was Kris’ idea for the whole family to do a photo with the new baby for the first time, because Kim is promoting her new make-up line right now and she thought it would be good publicity,” an insider close to the family tells heat. “Kim’s very competitive with Kylie [Jenner], who’s been getting a lot of attention with her baby Stormi, and now that Kim’s entering the beauty market, there is a lot of jealousy under the surface. This photo was a way for her to show that she’s still the reigning queen of the family.”

The 37 year old accompanied the heartwarming snap with a candid confession of what it took to make it happen. She wrote, “I don’t think you really understand how hard it is to take a good family pic. This was all we got before all three kids started crying. I think I cried, too.” Notice how she made no mention of Kanye – who, we can only imagine, was the biggest tantrum-maker of the lot.
