Michelle tells Mark he has to ditch his work wife
Tensions rise between couple over flirty posts
fter spending months apart due to busy work schedules, Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan have more than made up for it with their loved-up antics in Hollywood over the last couple of months. However, there may now be trouble in paradise as sources tell us that the green-eyed monster is rearing its ugly head. Insiders say that Michelle has become a bit jealous of Mark’s relationship with his “work wife” Renee Bargh, his co-host on US TV show Extra. And after Michelle flew back to her native Manchester to spend the Easter weekend with family, we’re told she has said she’s getting “fed up with Mark’s constant Instagram flirting with Renee”.
This comes after it was revealed that the former TOWIE star ‘liked’ a series of racy posts from his colleague. “Michelle is sick of it and has accused Mark of having a work wife,” says our insider. “She knows nothing is going on, but she finds it disrespectful that Mark has forged a bond with a pretty female co-worker, and that he would then follow that up by constantly engaging with her on social media.”
In now-deleted comments, Mark – who’s been married to Michelle since 2015 – commented on how fit Renee looked while chowing down on a cheeseburger. He also gushed, “She wakes up like this,” on a stunning, make-up free selfie Renee had posted.
We’re told Michelle gets frustrated by Mark’s closeness to his colleague, as she knows it invites more speculation. “It’s a slippery slope, and Michelle has asked Mark to put himself in her place and see how he would feel if the shoe was on the other foot,” our source adds. “It’s not the first time she’s been left embarrassed by his behaviour on Instagram, but it is the first time it’s been with someone who Mark works closely with every day.”
Renee herself has previously commented on her and Mark’s tight relationship, captioning a photo of the pair, “It’s always a good time working with my British brother from another mother.”
As heat has previously reported, Mark has been trying to convince Michelle to join him living in LA, as he’s created a whole new life for himself there. Michelle is said to be anxious about the idea and worried that she wouldn’t get the quality of acting jobs she gets in the UK. “They’ve had a tense conversation about it and Michelle feels like she’s plucking up the courage to tell Mark that, if all this continues, then he’s going to have to rethink the whole ‘living in LA’ plan,” we’re told. “She is fed up of just rolling over to meet his needs, especially if he’s going to be cheeky and flirt with other women on Instagram.” ■
