Brad and Ange play nice as they finally settle their divorce

The Jolie-pitts are officially no more

They’ve been at loggerheads ever since their split was announced in September 2016, but it seems as if Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have finally agreed terms on their divorce – and it’s all down to their kids.

The former couple – who have Maddox, 16, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 11, and nine-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne – were constantly fighting through their lawyers, but an insider tells heat that it had begun to upset the children.

“Brad and Angie have settled on an arrangement that will work for both of them,” our source says. “He’ll get to see the kids and hold on to the bulk of his wealth, while Angie will be well taken care of and still maintain primary custody of the children, at least until they’re young adults. They’re both very happy to have this sense of closure and look forward to moving on with their lives. The kids, especially Maddox, were getting upset at the arguments between them and wanted them to sort it out. It’s been hard, but Brad and Angie realised all this uncertainty wasn’t good for anyone.”

The divorce is set to be finalised in the next few weeks and we’re told the pair have even agreed on what they’ll do when the other starts dating again. “They’re still working out some of the finances, but the word is that a child support payment plan is approved and Brad’s happy to pay for the kids’ education, security and other expenses,” our insider says. “He will keep his home in Los Feliz and Angie isn’t fighting him over it, but she will be getting 50 per cent of what they both earned during the marriage. She’s agreed to keep Brad firmly in the loop when she’s heading overseas, which was one of his big conditions, and neither of them intends to introduce new partners to the kids for a very long time. It’s been decided that, if and when they do meet someone special down the line, they’ll each approve if and when that person will meet the kids.”

The insider adds both Brad, 54, and Angelina, 42, found the process hard, as there is now no going back. “This has been an agonising process for both of them and they’ve spent a fortune on lawyers, because it’s dragged on so long,” our source says. “But they’re both in agreement that things had to be handled and wrapped up in order to get on with their lives and move forward, even though the wounds may never fully heal.”
